Who has time for that?

How many times a day do you repeat the above title in a conversation?  Come on, be honest!  I know that I say it often.  Usually it is in reference to hair/makeup application for work, cleaning the house, and reading.  I am working on making time guys….well for two of the three.  I mean seriously – who has time for perfect hair/makeup?

BUT in the past one thing I use to say that about the most was working out.  You know the story, you want to lose weight or shape up, but who has time?  Who has time to work out?

Well I am here to help out guys!  I am listing two HIIT workouts below that I have been using on the mornings that I have limited amount of time to get them in.  Give them a try!

Three rounds of the following.  Set a timer for one minute and do max reps of exercise, rest for one minute, then move to the next exercise.  Always remember to warm up for 3-5 minutes before beginning.

  • push ups
  • air squats
  • shuttle runs
  • dumbbell standing military press
  • sit ups

For each exercise = max effort for 20 seconds, rest for 10 seconds – complete 8 rounds – rest 2 minutes, move to the next exercise.

  • burpees
  • air squats
  • bench/chair dips
  • mountain climbers
  • kettlebell swing

If you do not have dumbbells replace the military press with a burpee or lunge.  If you do not have a kettlebell use a dumbbell in place or replace with lunge.

So there you have it guys.  Two quick HIIT workouts that you could fit into your day to get your heart pumping and some calories burning.  If you give them a try let me know how things go, and leave a comment below to share some of your favorite at home workouts.
