Alexa – the home assistant I am still not convinced that I need, lol

Happy Friday to you all! I have anxiously waited for this week for months now.  I am officially on summer break.  I have a glorious 72 days of summer break to look forward to.  Now that doesn’t mean that I will not work at all during those 72 days.  I do have a PRN position that I will still be working in occasionally, but that position doesn’t require me to wake up at a any certain time.  I am able to go in on my own time as long as the therapy time is provided.  With summer break upon me I will have time to cook meals for my family.  Which also means new recipes – look for them this summer.

I have several trips planned during the summer……some with family, others with friends.  I am looking forward to some much needed time away from normal daily life.  I will be sharing some of my adventures this summer on the blog.  Taking the time to connect with loved ones, as well as time to care and connect with myself is one of my summer goals.  I hope that you guys take the time for this as well.

I always like to discover new blogs to read/follow.  I have a dear friend of mine that has started her own blog to chronicle her experience transitioning into a stay at home mom and homeschooling mom.  If you would like to follow along you can find her here!  She is such a beautiful person – I know that you will enjoy her content.  If anyone in your life is currently transitioning or thinking of homeschooling please share her site!

I know I am late to the party on this whole amazon echo thing…..but I am super excited to get my echo and echo dot in this weekend.  I can’t wait to play around with it.  Kohl is just as excited as I am to have this.  We ordered some refurbished ones because of the big savings so I will update on my experience with them soon!

I would like to wish a happy summer to all of you my lovely readers.  I hope you enjoy time spent with family – even if you aren’t off for the season.  I am so ready to indulge in all things ice cream and watermelon, as well as quality time spent with those I love most. Leave a comment below to share some of your summer goals/plans.
